) announced today that it has been awarded a contract worth $12.8 million over five years by the Systems Analysis and (Sonar) Employment Branch of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with  (NUWC Noun 1. A&T will provide support for sonar and combat systems operational analysis assessments which are used in planning future submarine sonar and warfare systems.

Work will be performed by A&T's New England New England, name applied to the region comprising six states of the NE United States—Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. The region is thought to have been so named by Capt.  Operations Center both in New London and Newport. Tasks include systems performance analysis, system performance modeling, model development, tactical (sonar) employment, and threat analysis support for attack and ballistic missile submarines, including the New Attack Submarine Design, Tactical Development and Evaluation; and the Sonar Advanced Development Program.
