Analysis & Technology, Inc. Awarded $130 Million Contract With Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic.

NORTH STONINGTON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1998--Analysis & Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AATI), a leading developer of engineering technologies and technology-based training solutions, announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic for technical support services on combat; hull, mechanical and electrical (HM&E); and undersea systems. If all options are exercised during a five-year period, this multi-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is valued at $130 million. One other firm was also awarded a prime contract.

Under terms of the contract, Analysis & Technology and its subcontractors will provide equipment installations, inspections, testing, and modernization upgrades, as well as training, for equipment aboard both surface ships and submarines of the Atlantic Fleet. Many of the modernization upgrades will be consistent with the Navy's commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) procurement philosophy. Services will be performed onboard U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, and other ships located at various shore facilities both in and outside of the United States.
