Analog and Digital Devices announces multimedia 56Kbps modem; company leads the way with speedy multitasking modem.


TUSTIN, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 14, 1997--In an effort to become a key player in the 56Kbps modem field, Analog & Digital Devices (ADD) has released the AD56K Modem Series, it was announced here by Carl Jaafar, chief executive officer.

 Jaafar, the new series offers DSVD (Digital Simultaneous Voice and Data) An all-digital technology for concurrent voice and data (SVD) transmission over a single analog telephone line. The DSVD V.  support, full duplex (Computers) arranged so that the information may be transmitted in both directions simultaneously; - of communications channels between computers; contrasted with half duplex(a).  speakerphone, and the ability to send an e-mail, receive a fax and speak on the phone simultaneously. The series promises to position ADD in the forefront of this sector of the telecommunications market.

The AD56K which offers reliable high speed data communication through the Public Switching Telephone Network features a comprehensive Graphic Application Software Interface, Plug and Play (PnP), on-line help files, and video support.
