Analog Devices and Green Hills Software Present June 23 Webcast: ''Security, Reliability, or Time to Market - Who Says You Have to Choose?''.

NORWOOD, Mass. -- Webinar Examines Unique Value of INTEGRITY(R) RTOS and Blackfin(R) Processors in Embedded Systems Designs

Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI), a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, today announced the fourth installment in its "Analog Devices Presents" webinar series on embedded product development. This webcast looks at the challenges facing all new embedded systems designs where new, more complicated, embedded systems are becoming vulnerable to hacking and reliability issues. Co-sponsored by Arrow Electronics and featuring presenters from Green Hills Software, Inc. and Analog Devices, the webcast explains how embedded designers can create more reliable and secure systems and get them to market faster. It also addresses how Green Hills Software's INTEGRITY Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and Analog Devices' Blackfin Processor optimize reliability and security even when there are cost and time-to-market constraints.

Who:

The webcast will be led by David Kleidermacher, Vice President of
Engineering, and Mike Wolf, General Manager, Advanced Products Group,
of Green Hills Software. They will be joined by Wayne Meyer, Blackfin
Processor Product Marketing Manager at Analog Devices.

The webcast will highlight how embedded designers can securely partition the royalty-free INTEGRITY RTOS using the Blackfin Processor's Memory Protection A technique that prohibits one program from accidentally clobbering another active program. Using various different techniques, a protective boundary is created around the program, and instructions within the program are prohibited from referencing data outside of that boundary.

When a program does go outside of its boundary, DOS, Windows 3.x, Windows 95/98 and earlier personal computer operating systems simply lock up (crash, bomb, abend, etc.).
Unit, guaranteeing each task the resources it needs to run correctly. Memory protection fully protects the operating system kernel and all user tasks from errant and malicious code, improving the reliability and security of applications running on the Blackfin Processor. The INTEGRITY RTOS accelerates time-to-market by providing a reliable base for applications and through standards-compliant programming interfaces and productivity-enhancing development tools.

ADI's high performance Blackfin(R) Processors embody a new breed of 16/32-bit embedded processor designed specifically to meet the computational demands and power constraints of today's embedded audio, video, and communications applications. Both the Blackfin Processor family and INTEGRITY RTOS are highly scalable, allowing developers to choose the processor and capabilities that best meet their cost and performance goals.

The 45-minute webcast will conclude with a one-hour question-and-answer session with the presenters.
