Analog Devices Names New Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary.


NORWOOD, Mass. -- Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI) a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal processing applications, today announced the appointment of Margaret K. Seif to the newly created position of Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary, reporting to president and CEO Jerry Fishman. She joins the company January 27, 2006 from RSA Security Inc., where she most recently served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, General Counsel and Secretary.

Ms. Seif brings 20 years of legal experience in corporate law, intellectual property and corporate development to Analog Devices. Ms. Seif held several positions of increasing responsibility at RSA Security Inc. over her seven year tenure, handling intellectual property protection and enforcement, governance issues, litigation activities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategy development. Prior to joining RSA Security Inc., she spent two years as Vice President and General Counsel at Firefly Network, Inc., where she played an integral role in the completion of an acquisition of the company by Microsoft Corporation.

Ms. Seif earned her law degree from The University of Michigan Law School and her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature English literature, literature written in English since c.1450 by the inhabitants of the British Isles; it was during the 15th cent. that the English language acquired much of its modern form. Ms. Seif has also served as a faculty member at several national and state continuing legal education programs and has authored several publications.
