Analog Devices Introduces SST-Enabled Temperature and Voltage Sensors for Desktop Computers, Servers and Workstations.


NORWOOD, Mass. -- Designed for the Simple Serial Transport (SST SST: see airplane. ) bus co-developed by Analog Devices Analog Devices (NYSE: ADI) is an American multinational producer of semiconductor devices. Analog specializes in ADC, DAC, MEMS, and DSP chips for consumer and industrial goods. Analog is presently designing circuits in the 65 nanometer to 3 µm process feature sizes range.  and Intel, temperature and voltage sensors expand ADI's offering of power management devices while enabling customers to leverage next-generation features built into computing chipsets from Intel.

The SST (Simple Serial Transport) Bus

The result of a collaborative design effort between Analog Devices and Intel Corporation, the SST bus relays key environmental information, such as temperature and voltage, to the core logic or dedicated ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) Pronounced "a-sick." Availability and Pricing

The ADT748x family of temperature sensors are sampling now with volume production scheduled for June 2006. The devices are priced at $1.50 per unit in 1,000-piece quantities. The ADT7484A is available in an 8-lead MSOP, and the ADT7485A and ADT7486A are available in 10-lead MSOP packaging.
