Anadis Limited Continues Repositioning with Equity Private Placements and Antibody Targeted R&D Activities.

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Anadis Limited (ASX:ANX), a biotechnology company focused on the use of polyclonal antibodies for human health, has announced a successful conclusion to a private placement, raising US$600,000 from U.S. and Australian investors. This follows an equity credit line of $5 million which the company signed this summer.

This new capital will allow Anadis to accelerate its research and development program, including the strengthening of its portfolio through industry partnerships. The funds will be used to initiate a number of clinical trials as well as support business development activity.

Anadis Limited's CEO, Dr Zeil Rosenberg, said: "We are repositioning Anadis into large and high value markets. We have a unique platform which allows us to launch new products within 3-5 years from initiation of research, a very fast rate of innovation. Over the next five years we plan to launch a series of new products addressing markets in excess of $30 billion. Anadis is leveraging a proprietary technology platform for rapid development and manufacturing that has been developed over a decade by leading medical research institutions. The antibodies are formulated from colostrum (first-milking) of dairy cows which have been immunized with proprietary vaccines and tracked for safety. The resulting dairy-derived antibodies can be produced at a fraction of the cost of serum-derived monoclonal antibodies. Competitive advantages of Anadis' technology include a significantly shorter time to market, rapid scale-up, and high cost-effectiveness when compared with the commonly used technologies for antibody discovery and manufacturing.

Anadis recently filed its 2006-2007 full-year audited annual results. Total revenue for the year ending 30 June 2007 was in excess of US$3.7 million. Revenue is anticipated to significantly rise in the 2008 financial year, driven mainly by significant growth in functional food manufacturing, as well as worldwide sales growth of its disease specific products.

Revenue from functional foods is expected to rise further following the signing in June of a heads of agreement with SPC Ardmona, a subsidiary of Coca Cola Amatil (ASX: CCL). Under the agreement Anadis will assist SPC Ardmona with the development and commercialisation of healthy foods using Anadis' proprietary technologies.

Anadis is repositioning itself as a global leader in polyclonal antibody solutions to high-value markets. Anadis plans to use its polyclonal antibody-based health products to address targets including influenza, GI and oral mucositis, bio-defence, functional food and oncology, for all of which it is in different stages of development.

Anadis had recently announced a series of clinical studies to be launched in the coming year, using our existing product as a launching pad. One trial at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel, will explore the efficacy of Anadis' proprietary antibody formulation for the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and an additional study is intended in the context of treating Oral and GI Mucositis.

Anadis also signed a term sheet regarding cross licensing of technologies with Immucell (NASDAQ: ICCC), which will fortify its intellectual property position in the e.coli, and c.diff markets. Under the agreement, Anadis will license from ImmuCell a portfolio of issued patents, IND filings, clinical data, manufacturing plans and know-how related to several human heath product lines.

Anadis continues to leverage its existing relationships with defence ministries worldwide in order to penetrate the biodefense market, which provides the company with an attractive opportunity to leverage its existing capabilities in new markets, without incurring large costs.

Earlier this year Anadis announced it is developing - in conjunction with Australian emergency response agencies - a system for the containment and decontamination of hazardous materials including bacteria (anthrax and plague), viruses and toxins (botulinum and ricin toxins). Anadis has been working on the technology, Project Ectoplasm, for more than a year and hopes to have a product on the market within less than two years. Anadis believes the product, based on its own proprietary technology, will generate significant international demand.
