AnaSpec Introduces HiLytePlus(TM) - AnaSpec's Highest Performance Fluorescent Dyes.SAN JOSE San Jose, city, United States San Jose (sănəzā`, săn hōzā`), city (1990 pop. 782,248), seat of Santa Clara co., W central Calif.; founded 1777, inc. 1850. , Calif. -- This week AnaSpec announced the release of the HiLytePlus[TM] series of fluorescent dyes. Demonstrating even greater brightness than AnaSpec's HiLyte Fluor HiLyte Fluor is a family of fluorescent dyes produced by AnaSpec.[1] They are a series of fluorescent labeling dyes that span the visible spectrum. The full family includes acid, acid SE, amine, and C2 maleimide forms. [TM] line, this series represents the next generation in AnaSpec's line of high performance fluorescent dyes. With excitation wavelengths of 555, 647 and 750 nm, the HiLytePlus[TM] series is optimized for long wavelength biomarker labeling. R&D Manager, Dr. Rich Meyer noted, "Our original HiLyte Fluor[TM] series was already returning superior performance results in comparison to Cy([R]) and similar dyes. With the introduction of our HiLytePlus[TM] series, we are looking to distance ourselves even further in terms of performance. By maintaining a price point that is significantly more cost effective than our major competitors, we believe that our HiLytePlus[TM] series will prove to be extremely competitive in the high performance biomarker labeling market." The HiLytePlus[TM] series dyes are available individually and in AnaTag[TM] Labeling Kits, labeled secondary antibodies, and labeled streptavidin. The individual dyes are available in different reactive forms - acid, amine amine (əmēn`, ăm`ēn): see under amino group. amine Any of a class of nitrogen-containing organic compounds derived, either in principle or in practice, from ammonia (NH3). , C2 maleimide, hydrazide hy·dra·zide n. An acyl derivative of hydrazine. hydrazide A compound formed by combining hydrazine with an acyl compound. Hydrazides are important in the manufacture of certain medicines. , and succinimidyl esters esters (esˑ·terz), n.pl organic compounds synthesized from acids and alcohols, typically possessing fruity aromas. (SE). Company Info AnaSpec, Inc. is a leading provider of integrated proteomics solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic research institutions throughout the world. With a vision for innovation through synergy, AnaSpec focuses on three core technologies: peptides, detection reagents (dyes, assay kits, & antibodies), and combinatorial chemistry Combinatorial chemistry involves the rapid synthesis or the computer simulation of a large number of different but structurally related molecules.
