Intergraph's COTS-based AM/FM/GIS to support reliability of

distribution network and ensure high-quality service to customers

Intergraph China, a business unit of US-based Intergraph Corporation (Nasdaq:INGR), announced today that AnShun Electric Bureau has purchased G/Electric, Intergraph's next-generation geospatial information management system for electric utilities. AnShun Electric, located about 970 miles southwest of Beijing, serves 50,000 customers in the city of AnShun in GuiZhou province of mainland China. This initial implementation by AnShun is the pilot system for an integrated Geospatial Resource Management system that will eventually be deployed by AnShun City Electric Company of GuiZhou Province.

The utility's investment in advanced technology will position it to provide efficient, economic, and high-quality service in an increasingly competitive environment. G/Electric will be the core of the company's Geospatial Resource Management environment, in which pre-integrated solutions help streamline day-to-day activities that provision and maintain a service-delivery network. G/Electric will be seamlessly integrated with AnShun's new work management system, helping to optimize facility management, maintenance and inspection activities, and power service analysis and management.

According to Mr. Xiao Guangyu, manager of AnShun's Information Center, "With G/Electric's ability to support a Geospatial Resource Management environment, we can establish an enterprise facility database capable of using real-time data to monitor the electrical network. Additionally, we will be able to streamline workflows, strengthen network security, provide high-quality electric supply and service, and fully leverage this advanced technology by sharing information across our organization."

G/Electric and its family of products are based on standard, non-proprietary programming tools and represent commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software. These characteristics set the stage for ongoing application extensions and easy maintenance and upgrades, thereby supporting the GuiZhou Electric Power Bureau in maintaining the system over the long term.
