: On Jan. 15, Neuse was injured in an attack on a convoy of his vehicles on the road to Baghdad. His e-mail report of the incident is below:

) going to Baghdad. My hearing is screwed up more than it was, now I can't hear correctly out of either ear, but otherwise I am OK.

Two others who were riding about 200 meters behind me also have punctured eardrums. One of the guys in my vehicle got hit pretty hard and is in hospital with 40 stitches to his face and arm but will return to duty in four or rive rive
