An ode.

An ode

I felt the love you felt this morning
As I lay abed cocooned and yearning,
When I awoke, not quite reborn.
I found the essence once forlorn,
I sensed the truth of your loving touch,
A feeling that could mean so much.
You can have me as your own,
My love like flames eternal burn,
   Having known your human presence,
   Fleeting like moon's evanescence.
Bid me remember what I've been told,
How much love you tried to show,
I will remember you in my success and successors.
And never buckle to an oppressor,
Like blades of grass under heavy snow,
Your love like the sun bids me to grow,
My senses more alive than quite before,
I'll know you in spite of Death's great door,
A lover's love like an embrace,
Known again at our Heavenly Gate.

I found a soul so much like mine,
   Yet unhindered by unfair time,
   Unencumbered by questing thoughts.
I looked and yearned, I would have fought,
I'm finding truth and all I see,
   No more lack and scarcity,
I have enough for years to come
Alone I will not come undone
Alone no more, or so I think
Alone no more or on the brink
Being with is all I need
A want for you like deep greed

In my room where thoughts abound,
Here I am quite right and sound
For here t think to thought's delight
And ponder basking in the light
The light of day or glow of night
My senses are unbound by plight
My spirit bound by earthly planes
Enough to make a sane soul wane
I want to finally take my chance
Let us have the eternal dance

The thought of you so profound
   My unquenched wants near unsound
My unsung love all but drowned
With you alone I am found

   To but imagine the air
   But to breathe in despair
   To hope for the best
Only to learn you've been left
   Something so profound and sound
A grasp and tug inside and one's unbound
To search and find a wisp of smoke
The love you felt and never spoke
The thought of being lost then found
My cry aloud made not a sound

   The understanding of unspoken words
Words that heal and move a herd
Things before I've thought to ponder
   Understand. In doubt no longer
Where am I to find a hearth with fire?

Still my thoughts, truth alone required
   Truth spirit's eyes can see
Spoken well, words set me free.

Bottomless regret but smile I might
You and you alone can feel your plight
A warm heart, a soul that hears,
An angel's touch that dried your tears.

The eternal landscape of my mind and soul
Harbors faith and love and hope untold
When I awake to nature's touch
On my eyelids, skin and such
inside and warm although it's cold
My soul hungers depths to behold
Remind me when my time has come
Together we'll be on the run
   Only running you and me
   Together we'll be completely free
Free to languish kiss and touch
   I don't need forever, each day's enough.

The quick and sudden pang of pain
   Around my unmanned heart
In a start was washed away when
   Your likeness matched my art
Two alike and twins could be
   For souls entwined we are
   Close to me forever more
   Although we are quite far
Oceans float soliloquies of evanescent love
Awaiting far reaching messages on the wings of Doves
Dearest pain of loneliness I grant you come again
For if you do, I'll welcome him--the Prince of my domain
