 candidate in Oregon House District 13, complains that The Register-Guard's Oct. 16 editorial on his race erred in characterizing Bob Ackerman as having won both the Democratic and Republican primary nominations. Ackerman got more Republican write-in votes in May than any other candidate, but there is no Republican nominee nominee n. 1) a person or entity who is requested or named to act for another, such as an agent or trustee. 2) a potential successor to another's rights under a contract. .

Bozievich also faults the editorial for describing Democrat Bob Ackerman as the incumbent. He's right: Following legislative reapportionment reapportionment: see legislative apportionment. , Vicki Walker Vicki Walker (Born on May 29, 1956 in Monroe, Washington) is a politician from the U.S. state of Oregon and a member of the Democratic Party. She has been elected to political office in both houses of the Oregon Legislature.  became the incumbent in District 13, and Ackerman is the incumbent in District 14. He's an incumbent, and won't be the District 13 incumbent until he's sworn in.
