An important consideration.This year's Forum theme, "Better Together," ties in nicely with the topic of this month's column. Until last year, if these companies wanted exposure in NDTA they each had to join separately. As the Forum theme suggests, they would be much better together, so the NDTA introduced a new category of membership last year: the Chairman's Circle Plus+, which allows the parent company and all of its organizational units to appear together in one listing. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] Four major corporations upgraded to this new category within the first year, and six more followed, bringing the list to ten: American Shipping & Logistics Group, Choice Hotels International, EGL EGL Enterprise Generation Language (IBM) EGL European Gemological Laboratory EGL Elegant Gothic Lolita (Japanese fashion) EGL Energy Grade Line EGL Eagle Global Logistics, Inc. , FedEx, Horizon Lines, InterContinental Hotels Group InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) (LSE: IHG NYSE: IHG) is a multinational company which operates several hotel brands. The largest hotel company by number of rooms (556,000 as of March 2007 [1]), its headquarters are in Windsor just outside Greater London and , Landstar System, National Air Cargo Group, World Air Holdings, and YRC YRC Yellow Roadway Corporation YRC York Railway Company YRC Yokohama Rubber Company, Ltd. Worldwide. Before Chairman's Circle Plus+, if the parent company was listed under Chairman's Circle, the individual operating units had no visibility. Each company had to join under one of the other levels--Sustaining or Regional--in order to receive exposure. Under Plus+, up to eight operating units, brands, or subsidiaries are included under the parent organization's existing Chairman's Circle membership. Each company added to the parent listing also receives three additional individual memberships per company, and the corporate family is identified and listed by color logo and profile text in the DTJ DTJ Double Talkin' Jive (Guns N' Roses song) DTJ Downey, Thorpe and James (Boulder, CO architects) Almanac issue. Upgrading to Plus+ is a tremendous bargain for companies with multiple brands or operating units. We value all of our great members, and I wanted to remind you about the benefits of our newest membership level.
