An impasse.

FURTHER to the article Save Our School (News, 23.09.09), since the story and during this early part of the consultation period Eston Park School have rejected the Building Schools for the Future Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is the name of the UK Government's investment programme in secondary school buildings in England. The program is very ambitious in its costs, timescales and objectives, yet opposition politicians in the Conservative Party and Liberal Democrats  proposals which were referred to in the cabinet report of September 1. One would hope that during this consultation period that there would be some way through what may appear to be an impasse.

I have met both head teachers from St Peter's and Eston Park and there can be no doubt that they are very passionate about their schools.

There can be no doubting the achievement side of this equation for both schools is excellent, and that part of the equation is all pluses.

On the numbers side of the equation there is a difference of opinion between the schools (especially St Peter's School St Peter's School or St Peter School may refer to any of a number of educational establishments:- Australia
  • St Peter's Woodlands Grammar School, Glenelg, Australia
Canada
  • St Peter Catholic School, Guelph, Ontario
  • St.
) and Redcar & Cleveland Council.

We need to look closely at these figures again to see if they can be substantiated. Redcar & Cleveland Council will also assess any alternatives that the schools may want to suggest.

I sincerely hope that the council and schools can find a way through this BSF BSF B lymphocyte stimulatory factor.  process that benefits the whole of the borough.
