An extra class apart; Rush for Human Resource Management.


MORE students than ever before are keen to study human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees.  at Central College.

The Glasgow college have received a record number of applicants this year.

So much so that they are running an extra HNC (HNC Software Inc., San Diego, CA) A software company that specialized in products that detect credit card fraud, manage merchant risk, automate lending decisions and home valuations and manage retail inventories. Founded in 1986 by Robert Hecht-Nielsen and Todd W.  Human Resource Management class from September.

Central College are one of only two in Scotland recognised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, which means any student who completes the HNC will qualify for associate membership of the Institute.

The course prepares students for careers in Human Resources covering areas including recruitment, employment relations, law and payroll.

On successful completion of the one-year course, students can progress to the HND HND (in Britain) Higher National Diploma; a qualification in a technical subject equivalent to an ordinary degree

 Human Resource Management programme. Students can then go on to a degree at the University of theWest of Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University, HeriotWatt University and Stirling.

George McVerry, head of the School of Business at Central College, Glasgow, said: "The vast majority of our Human Resource Management students progress on to university and then to employment in HR, which is testament to the quality of teaching."
