From July 14-20, whet your brush with a diverse palette of eager artists, art enthusiasts, art teachers, and students for seven days of artistic exploration and creation during the 11th annual Tougaloo Art Colony. The brainchild of Jane Hearn, former Tougaloo board member and local artist, the Art Colony has been an indispensable benefit to the visual arts visual arts npl → artes fpl plásticas visual arts npl → arts mpl plastiques visual arts npl → in Mississippi since its conception in 1997. Cultivating artistic development, the program invites six or seven artists from different geographic and ethnic backgrounds to share their expertise in workshops. This year's featured artists provide a myriad of media choices.
