This concordance, which is entirely hand-written by the author, is meant to be used in conjunction with Adriaan de Buck's The Egyptian Coffin Texts (published in seven volumes in Chicago from 1935-61) and the author's earlier A Hieroglyphic hieroglyphic (hī'rəglĭf`ĭk, hī'ərə–) [Gr.,=priestly carving], type of writing used in ancient Egypt. Similar pictographic styles of Crete, Asia Minor, and Central America and Mexico are also called hieroglyphics  dictionary of Egyptian Coffin Texts. The material is divided into three sections: the analytical concordance of the verb, negations, and an analytical study of the sentence. Part of Van der Molen's motivation for a concordance was his notion that an unusually rigid rule of orthography was used in the Coffin Texts, due to the texts' subject matter of sacred and magical spells. Van der Molen is an independent scholar in the Netherlands.
