Hartfordites who want to perk up their day with gourmet coffee that's conveniently fast and delicious are in luck: ExxonMobil is now brewing fresh, proprietary Bengal Traders(R) java at local On the Run(R) convenience stores at Mobil locations across the city.

"We are serious about offering our customers great coffee at a reasonable price, but without all the fuss of a coffee shop," said Mark Shores, U.S. retail sales director, ExxonMobil. "A recent consumer survey shows that people don't want to wait to get a good cup of coffee. This is especially true in the holiday season when people are more hurried than ever!"

Bengal Traders Coffee is brewed from only the top 10 percent of mountain grown arabica coffee beans, considered the richest and most flavorful of the beans used in coffee brewing.

In addition to three popular blends -- Our Blend, Breakfast Blend and Dark Magic Roast, Bengal Traders will offer Decaf, Hazelnut, French Vanilla, and Hazelnut Decaf, as well as seasonal feature flavors, such as Spicy Eggnog for the holidays. Bengal Traders will also offer cappuccino, hot chocolate, Steamers(R), and chai latte.

To underscore its commitment to provide fresh, hot coffee, On the Run has undertaken an extensive training program for every employee who will prepare coffee for its Bengal Traders coffee program. Known as the "Bengal Traders Brew Crew," each convenience store will have a team of trained individuals who will brew the coffee and assure the newly-designed Bengal Traders coffee bar is clean and well stocked with a wide selection of regular and flavored creamers, sugar and sweeteners. The training emphasizes quality control by monitoring the coffee's temperature, the length of time since the coffee was brewed, and the cleanliness of all equipment and customer service areas. A specially trained Brew Master oversees each store's coffee program and leads each Brew Crew.
