An Open Letter To The Honorable James Gilmore, Chairman Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce.

Dear Governor Gilmore:

The Internet continues to be a major catalyst for the longest economic expansion in the history of the United States “American history” redirects here. For the history of the continents, see History of the Americas.
The United States of America is located in the middle of the North American continent, with Canada to the north and the United Mexican States to the south.
. Every day, more and more commerce is conducted online, to the benefit of businesses, their employees and consumers. There is little doubt that one reason why the Internet has flourished has been the moratorium on burdens affiliated with Internet taxation.

As the Commission nears completion on recommendations to be made to Congress regarding taxation on the Internet, the Internet, the, international computer network linking together thousands of individual networks at military and government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, industrial and financial corporations of all sizes, and commercial enterprises  Association for Interactive Media and the Direct Marketing Association, including the undersigned un·der·signed
