The NetSend family of Internet print server products enables a wide range of Hewlett-Packard ("HP") printers produced between 1992 and 1998, called "legacy" printers, to receive and print data directly from peripheral devices, such as scanners or digital cameras, without the need for a PC or device driver to format the data prior to output. ), the new TROY XCD products provide JetSend connectivity to an estimated 9 million HP legacy printers, including the HP LaserJet 5Si, 5, 4, 4V, DeskJet 1200/1600 and Color LaserJet 5/5M series, as well as several other models.
