An 'N Sync Fan Comes Out of the Closet.

I'm a guy. I'm 18. And I'm a major fan of 'N Sync. You got a problem with that? Well, you shouldn't. Nobody should. But recently, when I was singing along to the group's song "Space Cowboy Space Cowboy may refer to:

," a male friend of mine came up to me and said, "Are you gay?" The answer to that is NO! Just because I'm a guy and I like 'N Sync, it doesn't mean I'm gay-not that there's anything wrong with being gay.

I admire the men of 'N Sync for reasons other than their good looks and teen idol ? Who are "teen idols?"
Teen idols are usually actors or pop singers, but some sports figures have had an appeal to teenagers. The term encapsulates both some of the greatest performers of all time and some of the most inconsequential.
status. I admire them for their music, their talent, and their personalities. Every song on their album, No Strings Attached, has a special quality. They combine catchy melodies, meaningful lyrics, luscious harmonies, and a beat that makes you want to dance. These are all good reasons to like a band, no matter what its musical style might be, so why do people give me a hard time when I show how much I like 'N Sync?

One reason is that the media have classified 'N Sync as a "boy band," the product of a boy-band factory designed to attract a female audience and generate gigantic revenue. Men do not want to be considered fans of a boy band because it shatters their male ego. However, the guys of 'N Sync are definitely not a boy band, but a group of men who have worked exceptionally hard to get where they are. Let's face it, not all 'N Sync fans are teenage girls. No Strings sold 2.4 million copies its first week, an all-time record. I'm sure there are millions of male fans out there like me who read about them in magazines, buy their books, watch their TV specials, and attend their concerts. I went to their Rose Bowl concert and screamed along with 65,000 other fans. I even know Justin's birthday and what Lance likes to do in his spare time.

Their live performances are spectacular, like one of those big Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911.
