Amy Winehouse 'offered her first movie role'.

London, Jan 14 (ANI): She might be famous for all the wrong reasons, but Amy Winehouse's popularity has made Universal pictures offer her a role in their upcoming flick, it has emerged.

Universal Pictures bosses have reportedly offered the 'Back To Black' hitmaker a role of music teacher in a problematic school who later adds meaning to the lives of students.

The flick is based on the lines of popular flick 'Dangerous Minds', where Michelle Pfeiffer played the lead.

"The movie is a bit like Michelle Pfeiffer's film Dangerous Minds. Playing a music teacher will allow Amy to use her singing skills," The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

The flick bosses are even ready to arrange a coach to help Winehouse portray the character properly.

"You can't have a teacher looking like a scrawny crack addict. It's hoped the offer will be an incentive for her," the source added. (ANI)
