Amy Churgin Named Vice President & Publisher of Gourmet.

 -- Amy Churgin has been named Vice President & Publisher of Gourmet, it was announced today by Charles H. Townsend, President and C.E.O. of Conde Nast Publications. Ms. Churgin is currently Vice President & Publisher of Architectural Digest Architectural Digest is a glossy American monthly magazine. Its principle subject is interior design, not -- as the name of the magazine might suggest -- architecture more generally. The magazine is published by Condé Nast Publications and was founded in 1920 [1]. . She succeeds Giulio Capua who has been named Vice President and Publisher of Architectural Digest. Ms. Churgin's appointment at Gourmet is effective immediately.

Ms. Churgin became Publisher of Architectural Digest in November, 1999, and was named Vice President in 2001. Prior to joining Conde Nast, Churgin was Group Publisher at Primedia where she oversaw New York, Chicago, and Automobile. From 1994 to 1998, Churgin was Publisher of New York. Previously, she was Associate Publisher at Seventeen, Advertising Director at Elle, and Advertising Director at European Travel & Life.

Ms. Churgin graduated from Lehigh University Lehigh University, at Bethlehem, Pa.; coeducational; chartered and opened 1866 by Asa Packer. It has undergraduate colleges of arts and science, business and economics, and engineering and applied science, as well as several graduate programs.  and received a Master's degree master's degree
