Amy Burns Named Vice President of Marketing for Invensys Manufacturing and Process Solutions Business Unit.

Invensys today announced that Amy Burns has been appointed vice president of marketing for the company's Manufacturing and Process Solutions business unit. The unit includes well-known product brands such as Avantis, Eurotherm, Foxboro, I/A Series, SimSci-Esscor, and Triconex, plus customer support activities for these brands. Ms. Burns will be responsible for overseeing strategic marketing, business planning, marketing research, training, and competitive analysis.

"Amy will play a key role as we move forward in leveraging the advanced capabilities of our different product brands within complete Invensys automation, optimization, and asset management solutions," said Sasan Goodarzi, president of the Invensys Manufacturing and Process Solutions business unit.

"Amy will also coordinate our marketing activities with the Invensys vertical business units responsible for delivering these solutions to our global customers in the Hydrocarbons, Utilities, Pulp and Paper, and General Process Industries," added Goodarzi.

Burns brings considerable marketing, branding, and business development experience to her new role within Invensys. Since joining Invensys in 1999, Ms. Burns has served in a variety of corporate-level positions, including vice president of marketing for the Invensys Metering Systems unit, now part of the Energy Management division.

Prior to Invensys, Ms. Burns worked at as a senior account executive at NBC NBC
 in full National Broadcasting Co.
