Amwest Insurance Applies To Delist Stock from ASE.
Amwest Insurance Group Inc., which owns a subsidiary placed in
liquidation earlier in June, said it has applied to delist its stock
from the American Stock Exchange.
The exchange stopped trading of the stock on April 17, when the
company announced it wouldn't meet the deadline to file its 2000
Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company said
it couldn't meet the deadline, because it wasn't able to
finalize its year-end financial statements relating to its reinsurance
agreements.
Amwest also said it had applied to delist its common stock from the
Pacific Exchange and wouldn't seek to have its stock traded over
the counter.
