, deceased. Mr. King, President of King Associates, previously served as Vice President, Marketing of the $200 million Semiconductor Equipment Division of Varian. During that time he was involved in establishing Tel-Varian, a joint venture between Tokyo Electron and Varian, in Japan and Varian Korea, in Korea, resulting in Varian achieving a 40% and 60% market share in those countries, respectively. He was also involved in several acquisitions of deposition companies for Varian that complimented their existing product lines. Mr. King has also been involved in the flat panel display A thin display screen for computer and TV usage. The first flat panels appeared on laptop computers in the mid-1980s, and the LCD technology became the standard. Stand-alone LCD screens became available for desktop computers in the mid-1990s and exceeded sales of CRTs for the first time  industry and has a bachelor's degree from Clark University. Amtech's nominating committee has recommended Mr. King to be one of the nominees for re-election to the Board at the March 19, 2004 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

The Company has also hired William ("Bill") M. Rehkow as Director of Sales and Marketing of its Semiconductor Equipment Segment. Mr. Rehkow has 33 years of experience in sales and marketing of thermal semiconductor equipment products. This included work for Koyo Thermo Systems, and as the Western Regional Manager for Tokyo Electron America. For 16 years, he was the Director of Far East Marketing for the Bruce Systems Division of BTU Btu: see British thermal unit.  Engineering, then the number one manufacturer of horizontal diffusion furnaces. He was also the Strategic Marketing Manager for Silicon Valley Group's Thermco Systems Division, responsible for larger domestic accounts. Mr. Rehkow served as the Business Unit Manager for ASM (1) (Association for Systems Management) An international membership organization based in Cleveland, Ohio.
