SeeBeyond Integration Platform To Enable IT Operations Convergence

and Next Generation Composite Applications

SeeBeyond (Nasdaq:SBYN), provider of the world's first fully integrated platform for the development and deployment of composite applications, today announced that Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has deployed the SeeBeyond integration platform into production to support its Flight Information System CISS-3 project which manages all the primary processes related to airline and passenger handling at the airport.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was looking to replace its existing Flight Information System and required an efficient and reliable integration platform to facilitate the flow of information related to arriving and departing flights to and from Schiphol Airport. The Flight Information System is the only information source for a number of "mission critical" systems such as the Flight Information Display system, the baggage handling system A Baggage Handling System (BHS) is a type of conveyor system installed in airports that transports checked luggage from ticket counters to areas where the bags can be loaded onto airplanes. , flight handling systems, staff information system, and input for the airport company's financial systems, all of which are critical for the day-to-day running of the airport.

After a lengthy evaluation process, Schiphol selected SeeBeyond because of the product's flexibility, reliability, speed of developing interfaces and maintainability. SeeBeyond was chosen for its high performance levels and the ability to support future growth due to the open, standards-based integration infrastructure. SeeBeyond will be running alongside BEA's Weblogic and Software AG's Tamino database.
