Amputee Coalition of America honors two champions of the cause.

Lane, were both recently honored by the Amputee Coalition of America The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) is a nonprofit organization based in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States of America. ACA's mission is to reach out to people with limb loss and empower them through education, support and advocacy.  at its First Annual New York Benefit, 2006.

The event, held at the Harvard Club of New York The Harvard Club of New York, incorporated in 1887, is housed in adjoining lots at 27 West 44th Street and 35 West 44th Street. It was designed in red brick neo-Georgian style by Charles Follen McKim of McKim, Mead, and White in 1884.  City, raised more than $70,000, which will benefit the many programs run by the ACA ACA - Application Control Architecture .

"These two inspirational men were chosen for recognition of their continued efforts to assist people with limb loss through their research and volunteer efforts," said Dave McGill, chairman of the ACA Board of Directors.

Cohen serves on the boards of the Amputee Coalition of America, where he is active in the organization's lobby efforts for more equitable insurance coverage for those with prostheses.

Dr. Lane, who also serves as a professor and assistant dean at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, is a leader in the field of orthopedic research.

Founded in 1986, the Amputee Coalition of America, (ACA), is the largest national non-profit organization educating people with limb loss.

Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, the ACA's mission is to reach out to people with limb loss and to empower them through education, support and advocacy.
