Amplitude Software Introduces the First Web-Based Event Publishing Solution; EventCenter Harnesses the Power of The Web for Publishing Dynamic, Multimedia-enhanced Calendars.

TIBURON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 11, 1997--Amplitude Software, the leading provider of productivity applications for intranets, extranets and Internet use, today announced EventCenter, the first product specifically designed to provide a Web-based, automated solution for event and calendar publishing.

EventCenter makes it easy for non-technical people to publish and update event information, such as seminars, training meetings or lectures, directly to the Web. Event participants can then view, search and subscribe to specific event calendars that support dynamic, multimedia-rich event listings.

EventCenter was designed for organizations to easily share up-to-date event information while leveraging the true value of their Internet investment. EventCenter comprises the following features:

- Server-based: EventCenter requires no client software

to buy, install or maintain;

- Browser-independent: A user with any Web browser, such

as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, may

view, publish or subscribe to event information;

- No Coding Needed: HTML or coding expertise is not

needed to publish information. The non-technical person

responsible for the event is able to do all publishing

quickly and easily;

- Multimedia-rich: EventCenter can incorporate multimedia-

rich information into event listings, such as maps, sound,

calendar and thereafter receive e-mail notification of any
