Amplify.net Adds Industry Veteran Roger Dorf to Board of Directors.

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 21, 2001

Amplify.net (www.amplifynet.com), a Silicon Valley company specializing in advanced IP service enabling solutions, today announced the appointment of Mr. Roger Dorf to its Board of Directors.

A veteran in the network computing industry, Mr. Dorf has 30 years of executive and engineering management experience. In 1998, he joined Promatory Communications, Inc., a startup company specializing in developing intelligent multiservice access systems for broadband edge networks, as president and CEO. After Promatory was acquired by Nortel Networks in 1999, Mr. Dorf became vice-president and general manager of Nortel's Broadband Access Division.

Prior to forming Promatory, Mr. Dorf served as president and CEO of Sync Research, Inc. and was president of AT&T's network systems group for the Caribbean and Latin America region. He also served in several executive management positions at AT&T Paradyne, most recently as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Mr. Dorf holds a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri in Rolla, Mo.
