The company recorded a net loss of $324,889 ($0.05 per share) for the first quarter 2000, compared with a net loss of $299,910 ($0.05 per share) for the quarter ended March 31, 1999. The company incurred stock compensation expense in the first quarter of 2000, in the amount of $100,000, which increased the net loss from $0.03 per share to $0.05 per share.
