Amperion Adds Business Luminaries to its Board of Directors.


ANDOVER, Mass. -- Amperion, Inc., the leading provider of broadband over power line (BPL See broadband over power lines. ) equipment, is pleased to announce its new board of directors effective immediately. Veteran board members Philip Hunt, Chairman & CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Amperion, and John Kohler, former founding executive of Netscape, will be joined by the following new directors:

--Ralph Linsalata, Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning & Development for Novell. Mr. Linsalata has significant management experience and has held executive level positions with Cambridge Technology Capital Fund, Hill Holiday and Weiss, Peck and Greer Venture Partners and General Electric's VC subsidiary.

--William Melton- General Partner at GIV GIV Gasherbrum IV (26,000 ft. mountain near Pakistan-China)

 Venture Partners. He is also Chairman and Co-Founder of GIV Global Private Equity. For more than 25 years, Mr. Melton has been an entrepreneur building global technology companies. Mr. Melton was the original founder of VeriFone and an early investor in AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services. .

--Warren V. "Pete" Musser- Managing Director of The Musser Group and Chairman Emeritus of Safeguard Scientifics. Mr. Musser has taken more than 50 companies public during his distinguished and successful career as an entrepreneur. Mr. Musser represents Telkonet, a strategic partner of Amperion.
