Ampco System Parking and Grid Concepts Partner on Wireless Technologies.

Ampco System Parking, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), and Grid Concepts have partnered to provide the first mobile handheld fee terminal system for installation at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) short and long-term parking facilities. Grid's MobilePOS software, executing on handheld terminals, collect parking ticket and fee payment information and transmit the data wirelessly to a MobilePOS server residing at the garage office for authorizing the transactions. The MobilePOS server communicates with Alliance Data Systems' transaction network for real-time credit card payment processing.

"We tested the MobilePOS system during the end of last year, when returning travelers can experience delays as they exit parking garages," said Ron V.
