Ampco System Parking Introduces New Electronic Inspection System.


LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 1999--

Ampco System Parking, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), has introduced a new electronic inspection system based on the latest computer technology to better meet customer needs.

The new inspection system utilizes 3Com PalmPilots for data gathering during onsite inspections, and allows Ampco System Parking staff to quickly and efficiently rate the performance and conditions at each of its facilities.

"Our new state-of-the-art inspection system will ensure that our personnel perform more frequent and more comprehensive inspections of our clients' facilities, which will further enhance the quality of our service," said Thomas D. Barnett, President, Ampco System Parking.

Ampco System Parking operates over 1,500 parking lots and garages in 24 states, and serves five of the 20 busiest international airports in the U.S.: Denver, Honolulu, Newark, Phoenix and San Francisco.
