Ampco System Parking Awarded Contract with Port of New Orleans.Business Editors LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 2004 Ampco System Parking, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract with the Port of New Orleans New Orleans (ôr`lēənz –lənz, ôrlēnz`), city (2006 pop. 187,525), coextensive with Orleans parish, SE La., between the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain, 107 mi (172 km) by water from the river mouth; founded 1718 by the sieur de Bienville, inc. 1805. in Louisiana. Ampco will provide parking management at the Fulton Place garage and nearby Convention Center lot (leased by the Port of New Orleans), encompassing a total of 1,500 spaces. Ampco will also run shuttle buses, a sea cap service and check-in service for passengers sailing with Carnival, Norwegian, and Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines. "While the Port of New Orleans expands its cruise facilities with the construction of a new terminal and parking garage, Ampco is pleased to provide offsite parking management, baggage services and shuttle operations for more than 700,000 passengers that cruise from the Port each year," said Thomas Barnett, president of Ampco System Parking.
