Ampco System Parking Awarded Contract With City of Des Moines, Iowa.

Ampco System Parking, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABM Industries Incorporated (NYSE:ABM), has been awarded a multi-year municipal contract to provide parking service for the city of Des Moines, Iowa. Ampco's services include off-street parking, multi-level structures and surface lot operations for the City's 6,500 parking stalls in many major facilities with combined revenues of over $6 million per year.

City Traffic Engineer Gary Fox, who oversees the operation of the Municipal Parking System, said, "The City selected Ampco System Parking following an extensive review of proposals from nationwide parking management companies. The decision was made by a Subcommittee of the Downtown Parking Committee, which consists of representatives from the City Council, Downtown Community Alliance, business community and City staff. The Subcommittee unanimously recommended Ampco as the `best fit' for the Municipal Parking System and was particularly impressed by their proven track record of providing innovative customer service enhancements at various locations for a number of years."
