Ampal-American Israel Corporation Lists Class A Stock on Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (''TASE'') Beginning August 8, 2006.


TEL AVIV Tel Aviv (tĕl əvēv`), city (1994 pop. 355,200), W central Israel, on the Mediterranean Sea. Oficially named Tel Aviv–Jaffa, it is Israel's commercial, financial, communications, and cultural center and the core of its largest , Israel -- Ampal-American Israel Corporation (Nasdaq:AMPL (language) AMPL - Along with mpl, the intrinsic parallel languages for MasPar's computers. AMPL and mpl are parallel variants of C. Ampl is actually now a gcc port.

 for its Class A Stock to trade on TASE beginning Tuesday, August 8, 2006. Ampal's Class A Stock will continue to trade on the Nasdaq Global Market.

Ampal is now able to list on the TASE after completing the conversion of all outstanding shares of its 4% Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock Convertible Preferred Stock

Preferred stock that includes an option for the holder to convert the preferred shares into a fixed number of common shares, usually anytime after a predetermined date. Also known as "convertible preferred shares".
 and 6-1/2% Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock on July 31, 2006, resulting in Ampal having a single class of stock. A company may not be listed on the TASE if it has more than one class of stock. The conversion occurred after Ampal's shareholders approved on July 18, 2006 two amendments to Ampal's Restated Certificate of Incorporation certificate of incorporation n. some states issue a certificate to prove a corporation's existence upon the filing of Articles of Incorporation. In most states the Articles are sufficient proof.  which allowed Ampal to require the conversion of its 4% Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock and 6-1/2% Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock.
