Amoco Chemical.

Amoco Chemical entered a long-term agreement with Catalyst Resources under which the Phillips Petroleum subsidiary will build a catalyst plant dedicated to the manufacture of Amoco's proprietary CD catalyst. The grass roots plant will be built in Bayport, TX, where CRI has manufactured the Amoco catalyst for several years in a semiworks facility. The catalyst is used in the manufacture of polypropylene. Amoco will be the sole purchaser of the catalyst produced by the new CR! plant that will have the capacity to supply all Amoco plants worldwide plus a number of current and future Amoco process licensees.
