Amnis Energy Inc. (Pink Sheets:AMNI) is pleased to announce that the progress on the Morton Oilfield, a Low Temperature Oxidation (LTO (Linear Tape Open) A family of open magnetic tape standards developed by HP, IBM and Quantum (formerly the Certance subsidiary of Seagate) that are licensed to third-party vendors. LTO cartridges contain a memory that stores historical usage data. ) project, is proceeding as scheduled and exceeding expectations.

The Morton properties were entered into a computer model for a property development plan prior to Amnis initiating its work program. Through this program, management can gauge the progress and success of the Morton oilfield. Current developments on the property show pressures on the LTO#1 and El Shadi wells have increased from 35psi to 75psi. Operator Dr. Paul Trost, B.Sc. Ph.D., (Head of the Chemical and Petroleum Department of the University of Calgary) are extremely pleased with the early results to date. Over the next 4 weeks injectivity tests will be conducted followed by the injection of chemicals to create a higher burn rate, which enhances the LTO process.
