Amnis Energy Inc. Announces Project Update and Objectives.

Amnis Energy Inc. (Pink Sheets:AMNI) is pleased to announce that the progress on the Morton Oilfield, a Low Temperature Oxidation (LTO) project, is proceeding as scheduled and exceeding expectations.

The Morton properties were entered into a computer model for a property development plan prior to Amnis initiating its work program. Through this program, management can gauge the progress and success of the Morton oilfield. Current developments on the property show pressures on the LTO#1 and El Shadi wells have increased from 35psi to 75psi. Operator Dr. Paul Trost, B.Sc. Ph.D., and head consultant Dr. Gordon Moore, B.Sc. Ph.D., (Head of the Chemical and Petroleum Department of the University of Calgary) are extremely pleased with the early results to date. Over the next 4 weeks injectivity tests will be conducted followed by the injection of chemicals to create a higher burn rate, which enhances the LTO process. Upon completion a booster will be added to increase the injected air pressure to 700psi. Once achieving optimum pressure in the reservoir, the two wells are expected to produce between 50-75BOPD.

The Morton field currently has 17 producing wells.

The company is currently evaluating additional secondary oil recovery projects applicable to LTO in the United States as well as Canada. Major Oil companies such as BP Amoco, Continental and Westport Resources (NYSE) are proving the viability of LTO and leading the way in its development. Amnis Energy is the first junior oil company exploiting this technology, with a corporate mandate to increase its reserve base by the acquisition of new projects and re-developing properties ideally suited for LTO.
