Amnis Systems have been successfully deployed in numerous video surveillance applications including military operations, traffic monitoring, government agency operations, emergency service deployment, harbor security, industrial monitoring and other tasks. The new software is integrated into the Amnis NAC See network access control. Surveillance specific software for remote control and management is easily integrated with the Amnis live streaming video network architecture through the use of network TCP (1) (Transmission Control Protocol) The reliable transport protocol within the TCP/IP protocol suite. The serial ports may be configured as a client or server to pass applications software commands directly to remote devices independent of the video over IP network stream. These features provide a simplified and network centric integration path for third party developers to easily create a variety of functions typically required in security and surveillance applications.

Amnis' all digital architecture provides high quality video with multiple channels of compressed MPEG (Moving Pictures Experts Group) An ISO/ITU standard for compressing digital video. Quick response to such controls is critical for viewing rapid changes in video images. In addition, the use of MPEG quality video can be critical for viewing details and identifying objects and personnel.
