Under the agreement, Synopsys will provide worldwide distribution and full support for these high density, high performance, and low power libraries.

Upon completion of their IC design, customers can take advantage of the complete range of turnkey semiconductor manufacturing services offered by Amkor including deep submicron wafer fabrication Wafer Fabrication is a procedure composed of many repeated sequential processes to produce complete electrical or photonic circuits. Examples include production of radio frequency (RF) amplifiers, LEDs, optical computer components, and CPUs for computers. , wafer probe testing, IC packaging assembly and test, final testing, burn-in, characterization and reliability testing.

Customers can start chip designs today using Synopsys' Odyssey(TM) standard cell library solutions. Odyssey libraries provide the industry's highest density physical libraries and are optimized for Synopsys' Design Compiler(TM), Module Compiler(TM), Power Compiler(TM), Chip Architect(TM), Prime Time(R), Formality(R), VCS (1) (Verilog Computer Simulator) See Verilog.
