Amkor Technology Appoints Financial Executive.WEST CHESTER, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1999-- Amkor Technology, Inc. today announced that Harold Earley has been promoted to Senior Vice President and named to the newly created position of Corporate Controller. Mr. Earley was formerly Amkor's Vice President of Audit and Compliance. "We are delighted to recognize the fine work that Harold has done in managing critical financial functions for Amkor during the past several years, most notably in connection with our transition to a public company, our recent debt offering and the corresponding acquisition of K4 K4 - Karakorams 4 (Gasherbrum II; 26,360 ft. mountain near Pakistan-China)," stated Kenneth Joyce, Amkor's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Earley, 36, joined Amkor in 1997 to assist in the IPO process. He was previously a partner at the accounting firm of Siana, Carr & O'Connor, where he was responsible for managing the relationship with Amkor for the 5 years prior to Amkor's IPO. He spent the previous 7 years with the international accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick. A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Earley received his B.S. in Accounting from Drexel University.
