) announced that Amkor Technologies has paid Tessera $58.8 million, as per the terms of the International Chamber of Commerce's International Court of Arbitration The International Court of Arbitration is an institution for the resolution of international commercial disputes. The International Court of Arbitration is part of the International Chamber of Commerce.  award to Tessera for Amkor's material breach of its license agreement. The remainder of the entire $64.1 million award is due by Feb. 15, 2009.

The patents at issue in the arbitration are U.S Patent No.5,852,326 (the '326 Patent), U.S. Patent No. 6,433,419 (the '419 Patent), U.S. Patent No. 6,465,893 (the '893 Patent), and U.S. Patent No. 5,679,977 (the '977 Patent). The '326 and '419 patents are also being asserted in the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC ITC (Brit) n abbr (= Independent Television Commission) → Fernseh-Aufsichtsgremium
