Slowik pointed out that the new corporate name retains ties to the company's heritage through the use of the initials A, for Amity, and R, for Rolfs. Rolfs is the name of the company's founder and also the name of another of the company's product lines. "With the new name, we wanted to build on our great tradition here while at the same time broadening our corporate identity and giving the company the opportunity to strengthen its equity in the marketplace," Slowik said. The new corporate name goes into effect immediately.
