Due to the acceptance rate of its initial five-item line of fettuccines, the company not only announces its plans to introduce new SKUs of penne rigate and bird nest spaghetti, but also announces the formulation of a new, infused spinach flavor into each of its pasta products. The official launch of the new varieties will be at the Expo East Organic Trade Show scheduled in Baltimore, Maryland on September 27th.

What does this expanded line mean to the consumer? It means that each consumer will have many more taste tempting choices within the company's organic line of fettuccine, penne rigate and bird nest spaghetti now ranging in all six savory flavors consisting of Fiber Rich, Garlic Parsley, Tomato Basil, Whole Wheat, Spinach and plain.

David Skinner, Sr., President and CEO, Amish Naturals, said his development team examined numerous cuts of penne before choosing penne rigate, a ridged tube with diagonally-cut ends. "We tested and tasted, and felt the rigate cut had some real advantages, in particular that the texture allows it to hold sauce so well. We really like how flavor stays on the pasta, and not your plate," he said.

The company is also very excited about the bird nest cut, as the bundle not only looks more attractive than typical spaghetti, but also allows for greater portion control as each bundle is just the right serving size for one person.
