Amir''s participation at COMSEC summit out of keenness to enhance external.ties By Adnan Al-Failakawi KUWAIT, Nov 7 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is due to chair the national delegation at the 25th summit of the Permanent Committee of Social and Economic Cooperation (COMSEC (COMmunications SECurity) A term used primarily by the military to denote measures for ensuring secure communications, including integrity and confidentiality during transmissions. ) of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), due to proceed for three days starting tomorrow Sunday. The presence of HH the Amir among top leaders at the scheduled top-level meeting is in line with his basic policy of enhancing the national relations with states of the world, namely Islamic nations. His Highness' record of travels, missions and whirlwinds is a very long one, dating back to the 50s of the last century, when Sheikh Sabah started carrying out official, political and diplomatic missions, playing a paramount role in promoting the national causes and stances at international quarters. HH the Amir, since assuming power as the Amir of the Gulf state in the end of January 2006, has taken part in many events namely his participation at 19th Arab summit, held in Riyadh in March 2007, where His Highness affirmed the necessity of facing various economic and development challenges.
