Amino Rejects Patent Infringement Claims in Germany.

CAMBRIDGE, England -- Amino, the world leading IPTV platform supplier, today announced that it rejects the claim that it has infringed patents relating to the MPEG-2 digital video compression standard and that it has not been served with any patent enforcement actions.

In cooperation with its suppliers as appropriate, Amino will vigorously defend itself. Amino will also seek an award of its attorney's fees in defending itself and for damages to its reputation.

Amino asserts that those parties threatening to issue enforcement actions have no legal right to remove Amino products containing MPEG-2 technologies from sale, or to receive any damages or other recovery from Amino or any person purchasing Amino's products.

"Since 2005, we have tried to reconcile agreements with our suppliers and MPEG LA. We treat this matter and our obligations on third party IPR very seriously. Amino has numerous third party licenses, including licenses with MPEG LA, and together with our suppliers we continue to press MPEG LA to resolve the matter at the earliest opportunity.", said Bob Giddy, CEO, Amino.
