Amino Acids Pack A Potent Weight Loss Hit

I bet you didn't know that the acai berry contains a string of 19 amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and consequently they are essential to living.

Proteins in our body are comprised of amino acids, which are organic compounds containing an amino group and carboxylic acid. Proteins are made of a mixture of proportions of about 20 common amino acids. Amino acids are about 16% nitrogen, which is what separates amino acids from other central nutrients like sugar and fatty acids.

Human beings are principally made up of protein and therefore amino acids are necessary to life. Protein provides the composition for all living organisms and protein is made up of amino acids.

The significance of amino acids is further emphasized when one considers that protein is the second largest component of a human being's body weight subsequent only to water. Proteins are necessary elements that have an effect on all systems in the body. Even hormones and enzymes are made up of proteins and hormones and enzymes are fundamental regulators in bodily functions. The genetic information that is carried in chromosomes has a structural basis of proteins that is carried from the parent to the child.

Amino acids are a string of components that are joined together like a chain. Each protein is an precise arrangement of a certain group of amino acids. Each protein in the body has a specific function and is meant to meet a specific necessity in the body. Proteins are not interchangeable as each has its own particular role.

When a human being eats foodstuff that has nutritional protein that protein is broken down into amino acids and the body then takes those amino acids and makes the vital proteins as needed.

The human body has about twenty-eight identifiable amino acids that come together to make hundreds of kinds of proteins. There are also particular amino acids that are not made in the body and must be ingested through food that are known as hitidine, isoleune, lysine, phenylalanine, leucine, methionine, valine, tryptophan and theonine.

All amino acids are crucially critical to life but the body can produce the ones that are not included in the list of essential amino acids instead of relying upon the diet to supply them. Eating a well balanced diet and together with proper supplements can make certain that the body always has what it needs to uphold a wholesome balance in every system.

The acai berry is extremely perishable and it has only been in the past five years or so that products made from processed acai berries have been available. Learn about the health benefits of the acai berry at the acai forum.
