Amicada to Place Advertising Council TV PSAs On Web; Will Also Donate $1.1 million in Media Space.

The Advertising Council and Amicada, Inc. announced today that they have signed an agreement that will use Amicada's full-screen, full-motion TV-quality proprietary technology to transmit to the Internet TV (1) Watching TV programs on or from the Internet. There are countless video clips available on Web sites for streaming as well as subscription services that offer TV programs and movies for downloading.  Public Service Advertisements (PSAs) produced for The Advertising Council. Amicada has also donated $1.1 million of media space for PSAs to assist the Advertising Council in launching more programs.

Under the agreement, Amicada and its Platform Partners (premier Web platforms including The Globe, Blink, FamilyTime) will provide media space on its PACS (Picture ArChiving System) A storage and management system for high-resolution images. Typically pertaining to the medical field, images such as X-rays, MRIs and CAT scans require a greater amount of storage than other industries.
