MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 1998--In order to better serve its growing customer base in the state of New Jersey, Amica Mutual Insurance Company today announced that it has opened a new office in Mount Laurel. Amica, which has been writing insurance in New Jersey since 1929, also has an office in Glen Rock.

According to Thomas A. Taylor, president and chief executive officer of Amica, "the continued growth of our New Jersey policyholder base necessitated this expansion, which will enable us to better serve our existing customers and enable continued growth in the state."

The new office currently has a staff of twenty employees, a combination of new hires and transfers from other Amica offices. Glen Ashton, Amica Southern New Jersey branch manager, said he expects to hire another l0 employees by the end of l998.
